In some cases maybe you want to change slave to master.
- On the master: Go to Distributed Monitoring -> Edit the slave connection and deselect 'Disable configuration via WATO on this site' (if selected)
- Now your slave has an own WATO
- Now you need to move all hosts from master to slave
- On the master: Go to WATO -> Hosts and edit all hosts. You need to select at 'Monitored on Site' your slave. Please save and activate the changes.
- You need to do a rediscovery for all hosts
- Now your slave is monitoring all your hosts
- On the master: Go to Distributed Monitoring and remove the slave Connection
- On the slave: Go to Distributed Monitoring and add create a connection for the master
- Please Note: If you enable 'configuration push' the slave will override the master. Please make sure that you have all rules/settings already on your slave
- After activating all changes the master is not monitoring any host. Please repeat step 2 if you want to monitor the host via master.
- Now you've successfully promoting slave to master
