In Checkmk, SSD temperature sensors' default upper threshold values are set at 35°C and 40°C, respectively. However, it might be necessary to modify these values to match the specifications provided by the manufacturer. |
If you receive notifications regarding critical SSD temperatures, it's important to note that the Checkmk software utilizes standard threshold values of 0-40°C when the disks do not provide specific thresholds. However, these values may not align with the manufacturer's specifications. Therefore, it is recommended to adjust the temperature thresholds in Checkmk to match the specifications provided by the manufacturer for accurate monitoring and alerting.
Before making any adjustments, it is advisable to consult the manufacturer of your SSD to determine the recommended operating temperature range. In this example, we use a Micron SSD ranging between 0-70°C.
By customizing the temperature levels based on the manufacturer's specifications, you can ensure accurate monitoring and receive notifications aligned with the recommended operational temperatures for your SSD.
