Problem

When using the Agent Updater (recommended), you might have stumbled over the rule "Agent updater (Linux, Windows, Solaris)" in which you can define if the plugin should be deployed, place the certificates for HTTPs, and so on.

I'd like to point out the setting "Interval for update check".

Although the setting is optional, please be advised that if you do not set a value here after two days, the "Check_MK Agent" service goes into a Warn state:

Solution

The only resolution is to deploy the Agent Updater plugin and set a value here (one hour is the default value).

The Warn state is hard-coded in ~/share/check_mk/checks/check_mk, lines 94-109.
