This error occurs when attempting to add a host using only the hostname without providing the necessary IP information, especially if the parent folder has a Management Board configured.

via https://jira.lan.tribe29.com/browse/SUP-14164To correct this, an IP address needs to be added to the host properties. 

  • Go to Setup → Host → Edit the properties of the host having issues.
  • Place an [ X ] next to the IPv4  Address section.
  • Enter the missing IP into the text field
