Problem
You want to update the BIOS, iDRAC, or firmware of hardware components (such as RAID controllers or SSDs) on the appliance.
Solution
Use at your own discretion. Updating BIOS, iDRAC, or hardware component firmware like RAID controllers or SSDs does not in any way jeopardize your support.
In the unlikely event that issues occur, you can contact your hardware support partner for assistance.
As a general rule of thumb, you do not want to install updates for crucial hardware on day one.
However, this is entirely up to you and your experience, processes, and general cautiousness.
